The DISTO E7400x laser distance meter combines robustness and multi-functionality into a single unit that’s IP65 dust and water rated, and can take a fall from 6 feet to hard surfaces. The sensitive measuring elements protected by rubber parts and fibergl reinforcement making it ideal for the harsh work environment. The DISTO E7400x measures distances up to 265ft (200ft in bright light conditions) with an accuracy of 1mm or 0.04in (better than 1/16")! It is the WORLD'S FIRST Laser Distance Meter specified to measure in accordance with ISO 16331-1! In terms of features, Leica Geosystems included them all. The integrated tilt sensor allows you to calculate horizontal distances over obstructions and measure vertical heights (we recommend using the Leica TRI100 tripod with the 1/4 - 20 thread for these calculations). The tilt sensor can be used as a quick reference electronic level if needed. Additionally it’s packed with other functions you would expect including a/volume calculations, 2&3 point Pythagoras measurements, stake out function, triangle a, 20 position memory, multifunction end piece with automatic detection, high visibility 4-line illuminated display, 2 AAA batteries, nylon pouch with belt loop, lanyard, quick start guide, producer certificate. When measuring, the default zero point is the back of the unit but you can toggle and have the front as your zero reference point if desired. The multifunction end piece allows you measure into tight spaces (corners, window tracks) and automatically takes the end piece into account when extended. The DISTO 7400x incorporates multiple units of measure options for any job requirement including metric (0.000m, 0.0000m, 0.00m) decimal values (0.00ft, 0.00in) feet/inches/fractional accuracy to 4 levels ( 0’00"1/32, 0’00"1/16, 0’00"1/8, 0’00"1/4) and inches only with fractions to 4 levels (0"1/32, 0"1/16, 0"1/8, 0"1/4). For the best measured accuracy, a 1/32nd or 1/16th value should be selected.
